Failed again yesterday. :( I actually read more than I thought I would and I wanted to keep going, but my eyes would not stay open.
Like I said yesterday, I think I'm not cut out for reading challenges. I've never participated in a read-a-thon, never set a goal to read so many books in so many days (except for my yearly GoodReads goal), etc. I do like that this challenge is making me read more often. I usually do all my reading at night in bed, but this is making me pick up a book during the day too, which is a nice change. However, this is also making reading a bit of a chore. Sometimes I just really wanna watch TV or take a nap, but then I feel like I NEED to read instead, which wasn't what I wanted out of this challenge. I simply wanted to read more and have fun doing it, not feel forced to read each day.
Anyway, I think I'll keep it up for the rest of the month, but after that I think I'm gonna pass on future reading challenges. I'm still planning on using this site to keep notes on books and post my daily page count though. Tracking my pages is something I've been meaning to do for a long time, and I think it's easier to do it on a site than in a journal or on paper which I'll end up losing. It'll be interesting to see how much I do read over the course of a week, a month, etc., and maybe I'll notice patterns too. We'll see!
